This library is off the hook. All the home bums hang out here surfing on the free wifi with their laptops burning some of Georgias finest green. Lot's of good stories for people on the road from people on the road and locals.
I found the librarian to be punitive and unpleasant. Normally I wouldn't put such harsh criticisms down, but interest in libraries is flagging and people become less and less aware everyday. A librarian should be welcoming, open, helpful, and anxious to get you in to whatever you came to the library for. Instead, I felt a little criminal and watched. Treating people with wariness, suspicion, and annoyance doesn't exactly scream "please come back!" I didn't even bother browsing much, just went to Augusta. And, not that it should matter, but I am an adult scientist, I am neither rowdy nor a thief. I use the library because I think it's one of the best assets we have in this country!
Very helpful and friendly!!
The library has an outdated selection of books, a stuffy atmosphere and practically no notable fiction section. If you're looking for informational books or an internet connection, the library is fine. Otherwise, prepare to be disappointed.
